Your 2016 Holiday Gift Guide

Christmas is only 5 weeks away. What?! Halloween was, like, four days ago, right?

I gave in on Monday and started blaring “The Little Drummer Boy” at full volume while working. I’ve held out long enough. It’s time for solo caroling while working.

Ryan and I haven’t started shopping yet, but last weekend it occurred to us that maybe we should start panicking. And so the my list of ideas and Internet research started.

Need a few ideas? Here’s a quick list of a few of my favorite finds:

Neal Stephenson Seveneves etsy gifts etip gloves
holiday scent gift balls of steel star wars gift
gift for men fitness gift cookbook gift

1. A Good Book
For the bookworm in your life. My favorite read of the year so far is Neal Stephenson’s “Seveneves.”

2. Quirky Coffee Cups
For those loved ones on your lists who, er, hate the morning. This is the coffee cup they need.

3. ETIP Gloves
For that friend who can’t get from point A to point B without texting or tweeting. Help them keep their hands warm this winter.

4. A New Scent
For your bestie seeking a subtle but glamorous change to her everyday. I’m obsessed with this scent.

5. Buy Stones to Save Stones
For the friend always striving to make the world a better place. This gift supports two great things – whiskey and cancer research.

6. BB-8
For that hard to impress geek in your life. I played with the adorable BB-8 last weekend. It was delightful. At $150, it’s steep but I bet the Star Wars fan you’re trying to win over would love it.

7. A Classy Accessory
For the classic, well-dressed man in your life. Seriously, nothing is sexier than a plain gray tie.

8. Fitbit Charge HR
For the fitness junkie in your life. Get them to the next level.

9. An Unfailing Cookbook
For the chef in your life. The Pollan Family Table is still my favorite cookbook to date. Do NOT miss the chicken marsala recipe.

FYI: I decline opportunities to do promoted posts or content, so everything I’ve suggested above is just something I’ve tried myself or have heard great things about.

What are you excited to buy for your friends and family for Christmas? Leave me your favorite below! I can always use more ideas.

I will say that the BB-8 is safely hidden in my closet. We came across for a good deal so couldn’t pass up 😉 I just realized, B.K. (before kids) I used to spend WAY too much money on Star Wars toys…and I’m not talking when I was a kid…I was 30…but anyway. I’m so excited for next week. You have me beat by seeing it Thursday night. We’re going Friday morning. Pulling the kids out of school (this is a good reason to, right?) before my oldest heads up to Chicago for hockey for the weekend. I’ll probably see it 2-3 times next weekend. IMAX perhaps?
