UMSL Awarded EPA Grant

Bed Bugs in St. Louis

EPA helps fight bed bugs in St. Louis

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently awarded a grant to the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) to help the educational institution to help stop the bed bug problem in the St. Louis area.

The awarded $89,074 requires UMSL to create educational materials on bed bugs for professionals and residents in the St. Louis area.  The university will work with low-income neighborhoods to educate residents and prevent the spread of bed bugs.

With this information, UMSL will then develop a smartphone-friendly website  to help others in the St. Louis area they were unable to reach.

For more information, read the EPA’s original press release on the grants.
