Fight Water Pollution at the Confluence Trash Bash

The 2011 Confluence Trash Bash is this Saturday, March 26, and you’re invited. Over the winter, trash accumulates in the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, and volunteers are needed to help clean them up.

Trash by the Mississippi RiverVolunteers will meet at either the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge or Creve Coeur Lake at 8:30 am and help pick up trash along the rivers and their connected streams.  The cleanup will end at noon with a celebratory lunch.

During this small party, local Trash artists will use the items collected around the rivers to create art right in front of attendees.  Prizes will also be given out for different finds along the cleanup.

Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt.

Register by calling Natalie Johnson at (314) 436-1324 x 123.
